A delegation from the Government of the Republic of Nicaragua is in Beijing to attend the 9th Ministerial Meeting of the China-CELAC Forum, held today, Monday, May 12th. A series of meetings with Chinese institutions and companies aimed at expanding and strengthening bilateral cooperation ties with the neighboring Asian country.
The Nicaraguan delegation held meetings with representatives of the LuBan Workshop for technical training, with CITIC GROUP, CCCC, CSCEC, and CAMCE, specializing in infrastructure and renewable energy projects. They also met with CHINA MOBILE, a mobile phone operator; CEIEC, a cybersecurity company; SINOSURE, the state-owned credit insurer of the People's Republic of China; and the Chinese Ministry of Commerce.
Nicaragua promotes and implements cooperation with China within the framework of the global initiatives proposed by President Xi Jinping and based on the fraternal relationship of Strategic Partnership between both nations, under the leadership of Nicaraguan Co-Presidents Commander Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo, and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The Nicaraguan delegation is composed of Comrades Laureano Ortega Murillo, Presidential Advisor; Valdrack Jaentschke, Foreign Minister; Ovidio Reyes, President of the Central Bank; Oscar Mojica, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure; General Marvin Corrales, Inspector General of the Nicaraguan Army; Loyda Barreda, Director of INATEC; Javier Gutiérrez, Minister of Environment and Natural Resources; Carlos Selva, Director of Financial Markets at the Ministry of the Interior; and Ramiro Cruz, Ambassador to China.
