"Nicaragua is poised to become a regional air transport hub with the development of Punta Huete International Airport"

Today, the project for the new Punta Huete International Airport in San Francisco Libre was launched, positioning Nicaragua as a major hub for regional air transport. This was announced by Vice President Rosario Murillo.


"We have now initiated the project for Punta Huete Airport, with the valuable support of the People's Republic of China. It was a special ceremony where we began the works of reconstruction, expansion, and improvement of this important airport, the new Punta Huete International Airport in San Francisco Libre" she stated.


"In this way, we will become a logistics hub for air transport, serving tourism, passengers, and international commercial cargo" she added.
